Duties and Responsibilities: Directs and coordinates activities involved in operating retail convenience stores in an assigned area.

Marketing Summer Intern

Location: This summer intern position is based out of Maverik’s NSL office. Candidate must reside for the duration of this summer position along the Wasatch Front, Utah area.
Summer employment opportunity for an outgoing, enthusiastic, fun, energetic person to interact with Maverik customers and assist the Maverik Adventure Image Team at stores and events. Field Marketing Position Covering the Flagstaff Area

Know assigned store locations and identify areas for improvement:
* Visit and do walkthroughs of assigned stores regularly to observe store operations, to recognize and acknowledge strengths and to identify areas for improvement.
* Work with Store Directors and Adventure Guides to better understand their level of training and expertise, together with the unique characteristics of the store and its customers.
* Use PDI to monitor the performance metrics of all assigned stores, including sales trends by product and category that might signal otherwise unanticipated marketplace changes.
* Understand how to maximize the effect of signage, promotions, displays, in-¬‐store merchandising and FRESCH expectations. Share this knowledge with Store Directors during store visits and with Area Supervisors during regularly scheduled coordination meetings.

Improve store performance:

Maverik, Adventure's First Stop! Maverik is now the starting point for fueling your stomach along with your vehicle. No longer is Maverik only about baking the best hot dog buns in town! The F.R.E.S.C.H. (Food & Refreshment Excellence Served Cold & Hot) Manager position coordinates a core menu food offering based on recipes from our Adventure's First Chef (no really! the job title of the person who oversees Maverik's F.R.E.S.C.H. (F.R.E.S.C.H.) program is Adventure's First Chef!). Our F.R.E.S.C.H. Manager personally guarantees the quality and freshness of all food items produced in their store. They wear many aprons. The right person for this job must have a passion for baking and presentation. Our F.R.E.S.C.H. Managers must have exceptional organization and planning skills to synchronize inventory replenishment of food products in sufficient quantities to maximize customer's expectation and perceived value while keeping waste at a minimum.
